Hello…here’s another track to listen to from the new album.  And a reminder that I’ll be playing at the Dallas Observer Music Awards showcase this Saturday, July 17th at La Grange.  I play at 9pm.   I’m still not sure whether I’ll be by myself or with some special guests…my new band is mostly unavailable to do this show, so I may just have fun and wing it on my own.  Please come see for yourself.  

This track is called “Meltdown”.  It’s got some really killer string parts done by Rick Nelson of the Polyphonic Spree.  And the drum sound is fantastic.  Luckily, for me, I won’t have to play all those tricky piano parts onstage, that’s why I hire the big guns.  In the studio, I can take my time and get it right.  Onstage, not so much.  I’ll just strum and sing. 

Look at these pictures of me, before I was old and gray-haired.  These were taken by Lindsay Graham at the cd release party for my last solo album, Summer Reverb.  Wow.  Time flies.

I’m very close to announcing my release date for the new album…everything’s finished…looks like September.  Just gotta sort out some record label details, get my band rehearsed, and confirm some venues for this thing.  In the meantime, I’ll keep posting some tracks in yet another futile attempt to lure you in.
